He would sit patiently, watching, as Sophia played her heart out on the volleyball court. Playing alongside Sophia, I watched as Mike had eyes only for the woman of his life. And just as he said in his speech at the reception on their wedding day, there was no fighting love and the person with whom he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life.
Sophia and Mike, so well-suited, in character, interests… like yin needs its yang, like a sail needing the moving wind. It was only fitting they met at the gym, both athletes sharing in their love of physical fitness. Mike approached Sophia and several dates later, it became apparent to each other that there was something clearly more than a superficial attraction; they saw in each other, what they wanted for the rest of their lives… a deep friendship, a mutual respect, and unfettered love.
It was such an honour to be given the opportunity to capture the union of two wonderful individuals. It was my first wedding as a photographer and my first Greek wedding as well! The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and rich with tradition and culture. The reception was held at The Manor byPeterandPauls. This was a fantastic venue north of Toronto with an excellent menu, beautiful surroundings and a great DJ! As this was my first wedding, this post is going to have a lot of photos… and don’t forget to catch the slide show at the end!
Sophia, Mike: Your wedding was an exciting and emotional day for all those attending, including myself. You are both so lucky to be surrounded by such warm, supportive family members and friends as you embark on a new path and a lifelong journey together. Have an amazing time on your honeymoon and be sure to get as pampered as possible! Much love and thanks… Jenne.
Hair and make-up for the bridal party was done by the talented stylists at the Hair, Body & Soul salon in Woodbridge.
The flower girl was waiting to get her hair done! Apparently, she loves apples… she told me so!
Mike getting ready with a couple of his groomsmen, Louis and Brad
Yes, Mike is ironing his best man’s shirt! I had to get a shot of this!
I absolutely love the details on Sophia’s gown… the lace and the beadwork! She looked so fabulous in this dress!
Look! I even got my name on the bottom of her shoes! She’s definitely flexin’ her abs here to get her legs up like this!
I just happened to catch this moment before the procession started… the flower girl was adorable!
The look on Sophia’s face is just priceless!
She couldn’t resist the ice cream truck! This girl is all about the ice cream!
Is it legal to look this hot while eating ice cream? Can you tell that she was happy to have her treat?!
Fierce… all I can say is fierce!
One of my favourites from the day.
Definitely made it to my fav list!
